Application Engineering

The aim of Applications Engineering is to optimise manufacturability, reliability and cost.
We do this by working with the designers and offering advice to ensure that the design meets the customer's requirements while avoiding over complication and minimising manufacturing risk.
We also give advice on data and drawing presentation in order to smooth the flow through front-end engineering and avoid unnecessary delays.
As well as giving advice up front and working with designers during the design phase, we can also offer a review of the data set from a DFM point of view prior to order placement.

Some of the key functions of Applications Engineering are:
-
Work with Designers
-
Ensure Manufacturability
-
Perform Value Engineering
-
Ensure Boards Are Testable
-
Advise On Base Materials
-
Explain Cost Effective Capabilities
-
Controlled impedance calculations / construction advice
-
Provide feedback data for CIP
-
Provide Feedback For Volume Manufacture
