Recruitment
At Graphic we believe that the fairest and most effective way of recruiting people is to select them on the basis of their knowledge, attributes and abilities. In short we aim to appoint people most able to do the job.
But more than that we believe it is important to focus on skills rather than on formal qualifications.
If you apply for the job you will be asked about your skills at various stages of the recruitment process. This is so that we can be sure you have the capability for the job you have applied for, and that you will be able to tackle new challenges in the future.
You can demonstrate that you have what we are looking for by using examples from previous jobs, your home life, hobbies, voluntary work, school or further education.
This recruitment system demonstrates our commitment to equal opportunities and fair and open competition.
What will I have to do?
There are three steps involved:
- Application
- First interview
- Second interview
The application
This is your first opportunity to tell us as much as possible about yourself and convince us that you have the skills that we are looking for. Use the Graphic Job Application form that can be found below
Application Form
The interviews
First Interview – This will be an in-house interview with someone from the Human Resources Team.
Second interview – If successful from the first Interview, you will be invited to an interview with the Team Leader/Line Manager.
Our interviews are not interrogations; they are discussions about you, the job you are applying for and about us. Probably one person will interview you, but no more than three, who will use the information on the application form as a basis for starting the conversation. After the interview you will have the chance to ask questions about the job or working for Graphic plc.
We will notify you as soon as possible after the interview as to whether you have or have not been successful.
Disability
As part of the Company's commitment to being a Disability Confident Committed employer, all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for a job vacancy will be interviewed. To be considered under the Guaranteed Interview Scheme, applicants will need to declare that they have a disability.
